Hey I have chrome 20inch wheel. And I wanted to know what kind of sand paper to use to sand the rim. And do I have to sand off ALL the chrome off the rim? P.S. My wheel are just like yours the chrome is? peeling.

I've? watched this video quite a few times. I'm going to paint mine when I'm ready for my new tires. I can get the duplicolor here, and want to paint my alloy wheels. Was your "base" coat the GRAPHITE color, and two silver? I am like you, the Graphite i see on the shelf looks a bit dark, where the silver looks a bit light. My wheels currently have a clear over them, do i just need to rough that up then use the etching primer? Thanks for the great vid.

@AutoHowTV BBS wheels are powder coated ALL the time with no ill effects. Most powders? cure at 350 to 400 degrees for 15 to 20 mins. A forged wheel at 350 for 15 mins will not have any ill affect on a forged Alum. wheel.... As for air bubbles, a good powder coater knows how to alleviate that during the prep process.
